Nice to Meet You!
Hi, I’m Shannon.
I’m an occupational therapist based in Seattle with advanced training in feeding therapy, including certifications in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) and AEIOU approaches. I founded Sprouts to provide individualized, creative, and person-centered feeding support that honors each individual’s unique needs and experiences. My practice embraces a body-neutral philosophy and recognizes that all foods can have a place in a balanced, healthy relationship with eating.
My journey into feeding therapy is deeply personal. I experienced a feeding disorder throughout childhood and young adulthood, and the process of building a positive relationship with food has been transformative. That lived experience fuels my passion for this work. Becoming a parent has added new depth to my perspective—witnessing my child explore solids for the first time has been a powerful reminder of how personal and meaningful the feeding process truly is.
I am a trauma-responsive therapist who practices through a neurodiversity-affirming lens and is dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to foster safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces where every individual feels seen, respected, and supported.
Our mission is to foster a love of exploring foods through creative, playful approaches.
Everyone brings their own story to the table—feeding therapy should honor that by meeting people where they are and celebrating the wins along the way.
